The Local Government Unit of Cervantes, headed by Mayor Pablito Benjamin P. Maggay II started distributing fertilizer last July 08, 2019. The Municipal Agriculture’s Office headed by Mrs. Cecilia N. Sawey led the activity with the Provincial Board Member, Benjamin N. Maggay, the farmers were given pieces of advice and encouragement.
This activity is a program of the province of Ilocos Sur- productivity enhancement through fertilizer distribution. It aims to enhance productivity and lessen production cost of farm inputs. It is just one of the many provisions for the Ilocos Surian farmers, such as free Rice and vegetable seeds and farm machineries through the leadership of Provincial Governor, Ryan Luis V. Singson.
