A small program was conducted last March 17, 2017 for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Senior Citizens wherein wheelchairs from the Department of Health (DOH) were distributed. Municipal Mayor Pabito Benjamin P. Maggay II, Vice Mayor Armando P. Gaburno and Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Gaudencio T. Bustillo led the distribution. During the said program, Dr. Bustillo oriented the recipients and their guardians on the proper use and care of the assistive device emphasizing safely measures to prevent accidents. Moreover, Mayor Maggay added that this is a big help to the recipients because the wheelchairs will provide convenience and easy access to places where they wish to go, their instruments of moving to and from. He also made mention on the big role of the Department of Health for the provisions of these wheelchair, thankful of the unending support by the agency. The recipients were very thankful for acquiring such devices for free and assured proper care and use of the equipment.
